Simple Girl

I have been performing on the stages of the world as a dancer and clown for over 35 years.

It is with great joy and gratitude that I can say, I have always supported myself doing what I love – creating my art and sharing it with you.

I grew up in Snow Lake, Manitoba, listening to my Father play accordion, piano, and sing Ukrainian folk songs. I bought myself an auto harp when I was 15. My father bought me my first classical guitar when I was 16. A dulcimer and a concertina soon followed.

When I wasn’t dancing in some of Canada’s finest Companies, or touring with my Clown Show, I would be composing and singing songs.

I used to play in all night cafes back in the 1970’s.

Singing the well crafted songs as “Granny Garbanzo” on the Big Comfy Couch, gave me the opportunity to stretch myself musically; singing backup with Canada’s own Daisy DeBolt honed my skills of subtlety and harmony, but my soul is that of a Kitchen Musician.

In 2006, Liam Titcomb said, “Let’s make your album!”

So here I am, out of my Kitchen with my offering of songs.
